Facts about the Region
A regional plan should be based on a scientific and factual assessment of the current state of the environment in the region. This requires collecting all the publicly available resources to inform the structure and content of the regional plan. This in turn can be used to assess risks and delineate priorities that should be presented in the plan itself.
This website presents regional information gathered by government and monitoring organizations regarding:
A profile of the region has been generated by the Government of Alberta. The municipalities covered by the regional plan can be seen here.
The Terms of Reference have been created and approved for the region.
The Regional Advisory Council (RAC) was established for the region. Summary minutes of the RAC are found online.
