Risks and Opportunities for the Region

What are the short term and long terms enviornmental risks we face as a region?  It is important to identify and prioritize risks or threats the the enviornment resulting from current and future use of the region.  Similarly identification of opportunities to mitigate and prevent environmental degradation in the regional planning process is required.  The risk and opportunity identification process is not static, rather it is iterative with new risks and opportunities being identified as more knowledge is gained.
